Thank you & future directions
This research would not have been possible without the 2024 Teaching & Learning grant from the Elon Center for Engaged Teaching & Learning. As a junior professor, this opportunity was instrumental to expanding the work on flow states and dance I started before arriving at Elon and continuing it into the future. A draft of a manuscript documenting the research in full will be submitted to dance education journals by the end of the semester. Various research routes to pursue after this publication include, but are not limited to:
continued collaborations with the Embodied Brain Lab at Virginia Tech
further research on flow states, burnout, and pre-professional dancer development
